Wetrocknride why the name in part it’s a nod to a previous life as an outdoor educator with decades of experience and skills in physical education, Health, fitness and well being. Cycling is a great way to get a fit healthy mind and healthy body. Riding can help you regain some balance in your life too.
What do we all do? Cycling, BMX, Mountain Biking, Cross country and Downhill Enduro, Windsurfing, kayaking, Sailing, power boating safety boat, Climbing, Cross country running, mud running, long distance hiking, Expeditions, Triathlon, Duathlon, Group rides, social rides, cycle maintenance certified by OFQUAL CYTECH and EAL awards.
It’s fair to say we are quite rounded and are proud to have helped local & national athletes at events from Sportive, National Road Race Championships, Duathlon, Triathlon, IRON Man, XC, marathon, Enduro, Downhill & BMX.
We are family run award winning voted top 20 independent bike shop in the UK. We offer bikes to work and help to raise money for local charities including Macmilan and local hospitals.
Our favourite local riding spots include Hartlepool, Hamsterley Forrest, Guisborough and North Yorkshire. Chopwell the Hart to Haswell Cycleway and Kielder theLake District and the Scotish borders.
We can hire bikes to individuals and groups to be taken to great riding spots like Hamsterley forrest, Guisborough where we hold our North East MTB Demo day and a whole host of North East MTB Group rides happen.
We don’t just run events with local organisations we actively support local riders achieve their goals. To date we have helped local Triathletes go on to IRON MAN Success with our support. We have helped individuals get fit and ride to work and also our passion Mountain bikers improve skills and confidence go on to compete in ENDURO and Downhill events.
